Sinabung Volcano, Indonesia

7. Sinabung Volcano, Indonesia

It is an active volcano located on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. The eruptions take place there with devastating frequency, leaving thousands of residents of nearby villages and towns homeless. It erupted in 2010, 2013, 2014, and 2015. The last eruption was on February 27, 2016; gas, lava and ash were ejected to a height of 2500 meters. The volcano due to such activity has begun to crumble. What awaits this country in the near future is anyone's guess.

Snake Island, Ilha da Queimada Grande, Brazil

6. Snake Island, Ilha da Queimada Grande, Brazil

This island is off the coast of Brazil and can rightly be placed on the top of our 'The World's 10 Dangerous Vacation Destinations' list. The reason is that its inhabitants, called Bothrops, are some of the most poisonous snakes in the world. The density of the "population" on the island is five snakes per square meter according to a local legend.

There was a time when people lived there, but they all died after the snakes attacked them. Those people were servicing a lighthouse, however, after the unfortunate accident, the lighthouse is in auto mode, and Brazilian authorities banned tourists from getting close to the dangerous place.

Madidi National Park, Bolivia

5. Madidi National Park, Bolivia

At first glance, this park looks like a very scenic place, but in fact, it is full of danger. Any contact with the plant or insect of this park causes itching, rashes, and feeling unwell. Sad consequences can even be due to small wounds, which can become home to tropical parasites.

Valley of Death, Kamchatka, Russia

4. Valley of Death, Kamchatka, Russia

Russia just like America has its own Valley of Death, which is located on the Kamchatka near the famous Valley of Geysers. Bikini Atoll, Marshall Islands

3. Bikini Atoll, Marshall Islands

On the outside, it seems like a paradise island lost in the Ocean. In fact, it was like paradise until the US began to test nuclear weapons on its territory. All its residents, of course, were evacuated.

However, although the nuclear tests are over, the island will never be the same as it was once, since an abnormally high level of radiation does not allow staying long there as there is a high risk of developing cancer.

Afar Triangle, Ethiopia

2. Afar Triangle, Ethiopia

ERTA Ale volcano that is located in the Afar region of northeastern Ethiopia is one of the most turbulent places on our planet. The ground there is constantly moving, and chasms are formed with incredible frequency.

When being there, you can lose the ground under your feet at any moment. This is because of two lava lakes in the crater of the volcano, the lava level of which constantly rises and falls, which, in turn, results in lava pouring out and forcing the surface of the location to shake.

Lake Natron, Tanzania

1. Lake Natron, Tanzania

The photo above is not a picture of some other planet, it is a landscape of a lake named Natron in Tanzania. The salinity and alkalinity in the lake are so high that all living things die at touching with its surface.

For obvious reasons, swimming there is prohibited, and if you want to admire the lake from the shore, then it is recommended to do it not too long due to too specific smell of hydrogen sulfide emanating from the depths of the lake.
