The main peculiarity of Baltic Palace Hotel, Pobierowo, Poland is that its shape is similar to a rolling wave. Although it was built in a small resort town of Poland, the hotel is visited by many international guests from all over Europe and beyond.
The unusual form of the Baltic Hotel Palace, which stands out among the surrounding architecture of Pobierowo, was born in the minds of two architects, Piotr Pichalewicz and Mateusz TaĆski, who worked together on this project.
The chief material used in the design of the hotel was glass, as it was best suited to reproduce the waveform the hotel has.
Using curved glass the architects were able to give smooth forms to the walls of the hotel, which is evident by looking at the curved roof of the building. The monolithic side walls of the Baltic Palace Hotel in Pobierowo were in turn constructed with the use of granite slabs.
The construction of the hotel began in 2009 and lasted until 2015. It has 40 rooms, four apartments, a bar and restaurant, wellness spa, night club, meeting room, two pools and saunas. The total area of the building amounted to 3.300 Square Meters.
Inspired by the beauty of the surrounding nature, the architects were used natural and high-quality materials for the decoration of all rooms. The color palette for the hotel was also chosen in accordance with the local environment.
Today, thanks to the professional planning by the architects, the Baltic Palace Hotel is one of the main attractions (if not the main) of the coastal zone in Pobierowo.
